This range of knives are the products of a precision knife maker whose handling of materials especially stag and buffalo is of a very high quality. I believe that if you had a chose a Sheffield knife maker as producing the best knives I would chose John Maleham. He produces a range of bush knives which are the same knives to the same specification as used on a famous survival television programme. As a former precision toolmaker he brings those qualities to his knives. The buffalo knife handles in particular vary considerably in colour and we cannot provide a particular tone for customers selecting those items but they are all of the same quality. Premier Sheffield craftsman ship and it’s best and preserving the traditional knife shapes. John is the proprietor A. Wright & Son Limited a firm renowned for the the fine quality of it’s knives.
This is one of John’s range of Bowie knives and hunting knives. It has a leather handle which is made of compressed washers of leather which are then polished and you can see the tones that creates in the picture. It’s a fine item and these Bowie and other sheath knives can be seen by clicking on the button.

This is a close up of he fine tones you will get on a buffalo handled blade. John Malehams are more variably toned than Trevor Ablett. He prefers a more overall dark finish. You can click on the picture to see this knife.
